Today I am officially 26 weeks and have 98 days left until my due date.  Tomorrow I am 6 months pregnant!!!  It seems like I still have a long way to go but at least I am on the downward slope!  I had a drs appt today and I took my gestational diabetes test.  They make you drink a really sweet drink, wait an hour, and then take you blood.  I guess they test to make sure your blood sugar isnt elevated.  I didnt get to see my dr because she was performing a c-section but I saw a nurse practitioner and she said everything looked great.  Here is a pic of me at 26 weeks!

It also snowed here on Wednesday. It was SO pretty I had to take a pic of our house!!

Today is a day of thanks and I have a lot to be thankful for.  I am so thankful for this baby girl growing inside me that has been kicking and moving all morning reminding me that next year I will have a little turkey of my own.  I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and best friend.  I cant imagine life without him!  I am so thankful for family and friends that have been so VERY supportive this year, and every year, through the ups and downs life brings. 

I truly am blessed and am feeling very THANKFUL and HAPPY today.  Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and get to spend it with your loved ones.  God bless!

I have been nesting lately and I need to STOP!  I have found a ton of cute things online and decided I should make them instead of buy them.  Some have turned out better than others.  I posted some of them below but here are my newest additions!  Matt told me I have to quit but I cant help it.  It’s fun and a lot cheaper than buying it.  I think a may have a few more projects up my sleeve but I will quit for a bit.  Im still feeling good and enjoying feeling her move a lot more than she use to which is the BEST part of being pregnant.  I cant explain how it feels but it is the coolest feeling to feel your child moving inside of you.  Im sure I will miss it once she is here, but I cant wait to actually meet her.  Anywho, hope you are all doing well!!

I can’t believe I am 24 weeks pregnant today! I know I have a long way to go but 24 weeks is a HUGE milestone as the baby could live if born with significant medical intervention. Obviously I want her to stay in there for at least 13-14 more weeks but it feels good to have made it this far. We also got her bedding in today and it is SUPER cute!!! We went to the dr today and they confirmed baby is a girl.  The dr said she looked “great”!!!  She is right on track and weighs 14oz!! I was so happy to hear the great news!!  Thank you GOD!! 

With that news here is baby girl cain’s official name

Matt and I have loved the name Avery forever. We talked about it well before we were married and still love it!! Malynn, pronounced Muh-lynn is a combo name. The “Ma” is from our grandmother’s – 2 Mary’s, Malinda, and Martha. The “Lynn” is from our mother’s Lynda and Linda. We cant wait to meet our “little Avery” as Matt calls her!! Thanks for all the prayers you have sent our way!!

This weekend we went camping with some friends at Turner Falls in OK.  We normally stay Friday and Saturday night but decided to only stay one night (Saturday) due to the pregnancy.  We were worried about me sleeping in the cold and getting sick.  We were right to be concerned because it was COLD!!  I woke up at 13o and almost went and slept in the car w/ the heater on but decided I would try and figure out a way to get warm.  I finally did and went back to sleep.  Below are some of my favorite pictures.  Tomorrow we are taking the day off and we have the anatomy scan ultrasound where they check all of the babies organs and take measurements to make sure she is growing correctly.  If you could say a quick prayer for her we would greatly appreciate it.  We are also hoping they can confirm “she” is a girl!!!

I feel like A&M beating Texas Tech aka the Techtards is worthy of a post.  Last night Matt and I sat down to listen to the game fully expecting to get blown out.  Low and behold we scored, and scored, and scored again and ended up winning the game!  52-30!!  Matt was over the moon!  I havent seen him this happy since I told him I was pregnant.  I know that may sound bad but he LOVES A&M football and the last few years have made it hard to be an Aggie. 

Of course I cant post w/o mentioning the baby.   She is still doing good and kicking away.  We go back on Nov 2nd for the anatomy scan and hopefully she is still growing and healthy.  Im also hoping they can confirm she is a girl.  We have pretty much decided on a name but I will keep you in suspense for a few more weeks!!

I am half way there to meeting my little girl today!  I hope the next 20 weeks go by fairly quickly.  Being pregnant has it’s advantages but I’m really ready for her to be here.  I have been feeling her move quite a bit now which is very cool!!  Every week she seems to move around more and more – or maybe Im just feeling her more now b/c she is getting bigger.  We got her furniture last week and it’s adorable!!  Im thinking about ordering her bedding this weekend too.  Here are some pics of me and my baby bump and her baby furniture.  Hope you all are doing well!

So I still havent decided about the swine flu shot and if I should get it or not.  There is quite a bit of controversy and I’m concerned it hasnt been tested enough on pregnant women.  I also found out it has mercury which is a no-no for pregnant women.  I wish there was an easy answer.  On one hand I know I am in the group that is most recommended to get it since I am pregnant but on the other I dont want to risk it hurting the baby.  Im also scared that taking it will make me sick since the only time I have taken the flu shot I have gotten the flu.  To top it off I am having to travel for work and being on an airplane is one of the best places to catch illnesses.  I’m very torn…  Right now I am leaning against not taking it.  Hope that isnt a mistake!

We found out on Friday we are having a baby girl!!!  Needless to say we are thrilled.  I already love her so much!!  We had a 3/d ultrasound done and the tech was VERY confident that baby is a girl.  I cant stop smiling.  I went to College Station on Saturday and bought her some Aggie gear.  We also bought her furniture yesterday that I posted a few weeks ago.  Without further ado here are some pics of our baby girl!

I also went to the Austin County Fair last weekend and saw some old friends. It was good to catch up and hang out!
