Trip to SC and GA to see Jim!
We just got back from a “mini-vacation” to visit Jim in Vidalia, Georgia. Jim, and his girlfriend Michelle, also took us to Hilton Head Island, SC and Savannah, GA. We had a great time and it was nice to get away. We got to go to the beach which is always fun in Hilton Head. It rained, but once it cleared up the weather was nice. We had a great dinner at Aqua and then went to the Electric Piano, a piano bar. On Saturday we drove 30 minutes to Savannah and hung out on River Street. It rained there too so we didnt get to do as much as we would have liked, but we had fun hanging out and shopping. We also saw a celebrity! Ron White a comedian was three tables down from us at a restaraunt in Savannah. Matt shooke his hand but we didnt get a pic with him. That night we had a delicious dinner at Fiddler’s. We woke up the next morning and flew back to Texas. Below are some pics to document the trip!

Fun weekend at the lake house!
Matt’s parents let us invite some friends to the lake house for the weekend. We always seem to have a group trip w/ some friends every summer and we decided to invite them to the lake house. Only two other couples ended up coming, but we had a blast! We rode jet ski’s, ate really good food, played games, and just caught up! It was great to see everyone but it flew by! Below are some pics I took to document the event. Hope you all had a great weekend!
The group posing on the molecule. We pulled Davon and Kim on this over to Rattle Snake Island and needless to say they did not volunteer to ride it back! HA!

Fun Times!
Last night we hosted a couple’s shower for our friends Steve and Terri along w/ Mark and Tricia at their home in Frisco. I think it turned out nice and everyone had a good time. I was terrible and didn’t take any pictures which isn’t like me at all. We got to see some friends we hadn’t seen in a while which is always nice. We don’t have any plans this weekend except dinner w/ friends but next weekend we are going to Matt’s parents’ lake house w/ 3 other couples and we are looking forward to it. I hope everyone that reads this is doing well. Matt and I are doing pretty good right now and hope the rest of the year continues this way. Take care and God Bless!

Happy 4th!
Hope everyone had a happy 4th of July. We had a nice weekend visiting w/ friends. Zach and Amy came down w/ Owen for the first time to see our new house. We mostly hung out and relaxed but we also went to the Fort Worth Zoo. It was nice since we got there early and it wasnt very busy. We left around one and didnt get to see quite everything but we saw most of the animals. Below are some pics. Hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend as well! God bless!

Happy Father’s Day!
Happy Father’s Day to all you Dad’s out there! We had a busy week, mostly because of work, but we had time for a little fun too. Jeff and Laurie had a party at their house and it was pretty fun! Laurie loves karaoke so you know there was lots of singing! I of course had to sing my favorite karaoke song ever…Last Dance w/ Mary Jane. This coming up week we are headed down to Beaumont on Friday for Matt’s Dad’s retirement party. I can’t believe he only has one more week of work left…I cant wait for that day!! Hope you are all doing well and I will leave you w/ a few pics from the party.

June
So I’ve been slacking about updating this thing. I’m going to try and be better about it. We’ve been keeping busy lately. We’ve had Matt’s b-day, our 3 year wedding anniversary, the George Strait concert, my cousin’s visit from Cali, and my other cousin’s wedding.
First, Matt’s b-day was pretty uneventful…We cooked taco’s at home and just hung out. He didn’t want to do anything too big so we kept it VERY low key. I’m grateful we did b/c we spent a TON of $$ at the George Strait concert that weekend. George Strait was AMAZING! He is my favorite so of course I would think that. The stadium was nice but EXTREMELY overpriced. We spent $40 just to park!! The concession stand prices were outrageous as well… $8 a beer, $7.50 for a hot dog, $9 draft beer, $8.50 for a burger, $10 popcorn, $4 peanuts, $5 cotton candy just to name a few. The HD screens were pretty cool and the picture was crystal clear. It took them a while to get the sound adjusted so the first 3 artists LeeAnn Womack, Blake Shelton, and Reba McEntire didn’t sound as great as the could have, but they fixed the sound for George! Looking back I probably wouldn’t have spent the amount of $ we did to go see him, but at least I can say I have now seen George Strait live. Below are some pics from the concert:

We actually went to see George for our 3 year anniversary but we ended up buying a Wii for it as well. I haven’t been able to play it too much but so far it is pretty fun and entertaining. We had a huge storm on our actual anniversary that continued into the next day. The storms were so bad they shut down DFW which prevented Michelle from coming into town on Thursday. I was super upset but she flew in on Friday so at least we got some time together. We had a blast in Austin and it was great to catch up. The next day we went to Evie’s wedding. She was a BEAUTIFUL bride and looked amazing! The wedding was very sweet and the location was nice. Below are some pics from Michelle’s visit and the wedding:

Lately
So, I havent posted in a while. Matt and I have been okay. Things have been kinda crazy lately, but other than that we are good…no swine flu here
which is GREAT! considering the pandemic occuring… In other news we are still enjoying our new home. My work moved to NRH which is WAY closer than it was before so I get home w/in 30 minutes which is awesome compared to the hour it use to take. I was worried about the new environment but it hasnt been that bad; plus the drive makes it worth while! We have a few excited events coming up soon…George Strait and my cuz from Cali is coming into town and spending a few days w/me so I’m looking forward to it! Below are a few recent pics from my girls night out and some other events. Hope you all are well and are staying healthy! Take care!
